A few meters away from the Des Bains beach where Thomas Mann in 1922 had realized his significant opera ¿La morte a Venezia¿ and in 1973 Luchino Visconti made his greatest work of cinematography. From ¿Antonio Canova¿ airport of Treviso there¿s a direct bus service to Venice/Piazzale Roma ( it takes approx. 35 min - www.atvo.it ). From Piazzale Roma to proceed to Lido you have to take the public boat.
