UEFA Championship League Final, Moscow

On the 21st May 2008, the UEFA Championship League Final will make its way to the capital of Russia, Moscow.  The final is to be hosted at the Luzhniki Stadium.  Moscow is a city that many people would say they never thought they would visit, but now it is open to tourists and is fast becoming a cosmopolitan luxury holiday destination.

Moscow has never hosted a European Championship Final before so this is one to go down in history and the most easterly destination for the final so far.  The Luzhniki Stadium holds 84,745 and was the host of the 1980’s Olympics, although it was then known as the Central Lenin Stadium.  The Stadium is home to two teams, the FC Torpedo Moskva and the FC Spartak Moskva.

Whichever team wins their place in the final, there will be British people heading to Moscow and extra flights to the capital are being added.  Could we see an all-English Championship Final being held in the first final at Moscow?  Hotels in the area are fast being booked up as you might imagine, so you should be quick if you looking to find somewhere to stay.
