Hong Kon is expecting to reap the benefits from major movie releases this summer that were filmed on location in Hong Kong.

The Dark Knight has received much public interest recently as it starred Heath Ledger as the Joker and also Christian Bale as Batman.  Some of the film was filmed in Hong Kong as Batman leaps off the International Finance Centre’s roof at Victoria Harbour and the Peninsula Hotel was also featured.

Another film release this summer is the animated film Kung Fu Panda with Jackie Chan.  A new attraction will be opening at Hong Kong Ocean Park theme park to celebrate the film.  The theme park is one of the rare parks worldwide that homes four giant pandas.

Hong Kong Disneyland is also not missing out on the action.  They’ll be running their version of the boat ride It’s A Small Workd, featuring 38 Disney characters and over two hundred moving figures.

Many people consider Hong Kong one of life’s luxury holidays or a great city break destination.  Flights run from many major UK airports.
