London Heathrow introduces free Wi-Fi
Free Wi-Fi services are now being offered to those members of the Skyteam airline alliance who are going on holiday, at the lounge in London Heathrow airport’s Terminal 4.
BT’s wireless internet subsidiary company, BT Openzone has completed a three year agreement with Skyteam to offer the Wi-Fi internet network in the lounge so holidaymakers can now use the internet before they fly and even make cheap voice call across the web using the VoIP service.
BT Openzone general manager Chris Bruce said: “Wi-Fi is essential for business and leisure travellers wanting to be productive or relax online before their flights.”
More and more holidaymakers, when seeking holiday deals, look to book some sort of airport lounge to relax or work prior to their flight.
The Skyteam airline alliance opened the co-branded lounge at Terminal 4 in June this year, which offers facilities such as a wine bar, showers, a wellness centre and massage chairs to its travellers.
There are several major airline carriers as members of the Skyteam airline alliance, such as KLM, Continental Airlines, Air France and Alitalia and between them they offer a large network of flights to a number of countries from London Heathrow airport.
