Some holidaymakers may not be as familiar with Estonia as other European locations, such as Spain for example, but Estonia is a great holiday destination, especially if you searching for cheap holidays.

Estonia is south of Finland and a great stopover when taking flights to St Petersburg in Russia or Helsinki in Finland.

Last week, Enterprise Estonia said that Estonia offers holidaymakers the opportunity to enjoy luxury spa treatments, amazing health services and hiking experiences too.  The country attracts most of its visitors from Scandinavia, who love the high levels of customer service offered by the country.

The Director or Enterprise Estonia, Egert Anslan, said:

“There are lots of possibilities for walking and hiking too.  We have lots of untouched nature and we have very good national parks with walking tracks and you can go bird watching and hunting.”

Estonia’s landscape is pretty flat with plenty of forested land, reminding many of the UK.  According to the website, Visitestonia.com, the country’s climate is moderate, with summer temperatures averaging around 20.9 degrees centigrade.

The capital of Estonia, Tallinn, also offers flights to St Petersburg in Russia, which is only just across the border, and also to Helsinki, the capital of Finland.
