British Airways has eased the confusion of where to go for many holiday goers. Tourists can now shortlist from a selection of ten popular tourist destinations to visit for their next holiday.
The renowned airlines have suggested a list of popular holiday locations to British tourists. According to British Airways, these particular destinations are expected to remain popular among the tourists for some time.
Cape Town, South Africa occupies the coveted position in the list. The upcoming FIFA World Cup in the year 2010 has been cited as the major reason for the popularity of Cape Town. The World Cup is scheduled in the month of June and July. Cape Town is one of the South African cities to play host to the FIFA world cup.
On the other side of the scale, British Airways has recommended cities like New York, Las Vegas and Vancouver as ‘must visit’ destinations for people considering a trip to North America.
British Airways also operates flights to the Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
The airline has predicted that Punta Cana will be one of the emerging holiday destinations to watch in the year 2010.
Tourists considering a holiday to Europe can plan a trip to Dubrovnik, Stockholm or Istanbul, Turkey. The tourists wanting to travel farther can also plan a trip to Delhi or the Maldives.
Holiday passengers of US Airways will be able to make use of a new complimentary wi-fi service at several of its airport lounges in airports across the USA.
This new free service was announced by US Airways this month and will be available to US Airways Club members. Non-members will also be able to request access cards at the lounges offering the service in order to use the wi-fi network themselves.
At the moment, US Airways has an Envoy lounge in Philadephia as well as 18 club lounges in 14 different cities.
New York is one of the first cities to be included in the launch of the new wi-fi service, along with Los Angeles, Tampa and Philadelphia among others.
According to US Airways, they expect all of the US Airways Club lounges to be able to offer the free wi-fi internet connection by the end of this summer.
An increasing number of passengers are expected to catch connecting flights at the hub in Charlotte, North Carolina from the end of this year when its new flight service to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil is launched in December.
Most business travellers and an increasing number of passengers on holidays expect to be able to access the internet from wherever they are and so this new service is expected to be met with enthusiasm.
Live music fans who are planning to take a holiday to Los Angeles in the United States this summer are going to be able to enjoy a large number of completely free outdoor music concerts which are due to be hosted across the city this year.
Culver City in Los Angeles will be hosting the Summer Sunset Festival from mid-July to late August this year with a number of music genres playing including; country, classic rock, and bluegrass; all to be performed within the City Hall courtyard.
Santa Monica pier in Los Angeles is also to be the host of a live music festival during the summer; known as Twilight Dance and Music series it will be welcoming live performers from all over the world including Jamaica, Hawaii and Argentina.
The Grand Performances festival takes place in late June 2009 at California Plaza and will offer a programme of over forty free performing arts events.
Holiday makers may also consider heading over to the Ford Amphitheatre prior to October this year will see more summer live music performances, film screenings and dance shows.
