Hot Mauritius for 2008
The Mauritius Tourist Promotion Authority has tipped the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius as one of the hottest tourist destinations for 2008. A spokesperson said:
“In addition to those visiting the island for its glamorous style, cultural fusion and family friendly offerings, new flights mean there’s easier access than ever before.”
The authority added that holidaymakers would be amazed at the “unparalleled standard” of services and hotels available on the island.
Indeed, it noted that visitors have been so impressed with the luxury hotels that
“rival any other destination in the world”
that they have bought a property in Mauritius themselves. Mauritius is an island that has many English and French influences, which helps to make many tourists feel at home quite quickly.
The Lonely Planet guide adds that Mauritius is a holiday destination that rarely disappoints its tourists with its relaxed atmosphere and sunshine. Many tourists consider Mauritius to be one of life’s real luxury holidays and it is also a top homeymoon destination.
