Naples to boost tourism with Wenzhau-Naples agreement

Italy, one of the most popular tourist destinations, is all set to attract tourists via its enticing city of Naples. Tourists visiting Naples for their holidays can now enjoy Italy’s rich culture even more in the city.

Naples, which is already well known for its art, culture and music, has entered into an agreement with the Chinese city of Wenzhau. The southern Italian city hopes to boost its tourism sector with the deal with Wenzhau in the Zhejiang district. The deal is expected to boost the tourism industry in both these areas.

According to China Hospitality News reports, it is also expected that this particular move will improve the relationships between the two countries and will also benefit the tourists staying in Hotel Napoli.

March 2009 marked the existence of Naples and Wenzhau as twinned cities. However, the major aim of this move remains the same, which is to improve their tourism industries. It also aims to encourage the establishment of tourism based programmes and involve students of relevant majors in the exchange programmes. They also hope to encourage the privately owned institutions to invest in the various tourism projects.

Naples is the third most populated city in the Italian country and the largest in the southern region of the Mediterranean country.

Additional flight routes were added from Liverpool airport last week, allowing direct holidays to three new destinations.

The airline easyJet, often associated with cheap holidays, has commissioned the three new routes as part of its overall expansion plan.

The news coincided with the arrival of their ninth aircraft at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (JLA). This new Airbus A320 means more holidays from Liverpool.

Last week, the new Airbus A320 started flying to Naples as well as Bordeaux and Dubrovnik. Previously, these holiday destinations in Italy, southern France and Croatia were unavailable from Liverpool airport.

UK commercial manager for easyJet, Carly Brear said:

“Liverpool continues to be our busiest UK base outside of London, and the launch of the new aircraft shows just how much support we have from our customers here. We’ve listened to customer feedback and are confident our three newest routes will be a huge success, continuing to expand the choice for our customers in the North of England.”

Deputy CEO of Peel Airports, Neil Pakey said upon hearing JLA’s announcement:

“The new easyJet routes will give passengers even more destinations to choose from this summer, adding Croatia to the list of countries we now serve and expanding our list of destinations in France and Italy.”
