As the name suggests, Les Deux Alpes is composed of two Alps – two Alpine pastures together which have formed a ski resort. One of most well known destinations for ski breaks, Les Deux Alpes boasts of beautiful après-ski and a varied range of slopes for all level of skiers, similar to Courchevel, Meribel and Alpe d’Huez.

Great skiing opportunities
Skiing in Les Deux Alpes is simply unique yet exciting for both skiers and snowboarders who can also enjoy long hours of glowing sun throughout the day. Apart from enjoying the scenic mountainous views, once can catch the beautiful glimpse of extensive terrain and also an efficient lift infrastructure system. Beginners and intermediates can look for a number of slopes to practice on whilst expert skiers can work on off-piste runs of the legendary ‘La Grave’ under the right conditions. Snowboarders can enjoy hopping into a challenging boarder cross, fun park and one mile-long couloir. Europe’s largest skiable glacier, Mont-de-Lans resides on the top of the main mountain, now managed by the tourist office.

Les Deux Alpes boast of a number of bars and clubs as well as a heated outdoor swimming pool, sports centre, outdoor ice rink and resort tanking centre offering a flotarium, Turkish baths and sauna for a rejuvenating experience. Some of the resorts in close proximity to Les Deux Alpes include Auris En Oisans, Oz en Oisans, Col d’ Omon, Alpe d’Huez and Vaujany.
