Take a holiday to Chamonix

Chamonix is undoubtedly one of the preferred destinations when it comes to choosing a holiday for your summer break. Chamonix is known for its extreme mountain sports amongst Europeans across the world. One can expect the most challenging yet exciting terrains in the world at this famous resort. Every outdoor enthusiast, be it a skier, snowboarder or a climber, everyone gets the chance to explore the world’s thrilling adventures of life. The town also offers plenty of piste trails for all levels of skiers.

Prior to 1996, a single ski pass for the entire Chamonix ski area was very expensive; today the scenario has completely changed. Now you can buy a six-day ski pass that enables you one-day skiing in the beautiful Courmayeur along with a couple of trips to the high Grand Montets lifts.

Another attractive feature about the town is that Grand Montets has new lifts increasing the number of skiers they can transport to a huge 3000 an hour. Imagine yourself skiing from the summit of the Grand Montets at 3275 metres descending down to 1230 metres, in implausible 2045 metre vertical. This has been the world record for the highest vertical ever in a day when Mark Jones skied on a vertical of 64000 metres in one single day. L’Aiguille du Midi is a phenomenon in itself with a whopping 22 kms descent off-piste into La Vallée Blanche, but skiing here will require the help of a guide.
