Holidaymakers are being given a fantastic opportunity to travel with Crystal Cruises and visit the Dalmatian coast as part of an exciting new route added to the company’s itinerary in 2009. The Dalmatian Coast region has started to emerge in the travel market as ‘the new Riviera’.
Throughout summer 2009, Crystal Cruises will be putting into operation a large number of Mediterranean cruise itineraries which will include visiting Dubrovnik and maiden voyages to the ports of Kotor and Trogir.
Crystal Cruises’ routes, which are scheduled to take place on the Dalmatian coast, will set sail from a variety of ports including Venice, Barcelona, Istanbul, Athens and Lisbon.
Crystal Cruise holiday passengers are given sightseeing opportunities at the 13th century medieval villages and walled cities and can also participate in exciting activities such as kayaking and rafting on the Cetina River and Adriatic Coast.
Bill Smith, senior vice president of the cruise line, said:
“Crystal’s savvy guests relish emerging destinations that, to a large degree, have yet to be discovered by the travelling public. The Dalmatian coast has long been a somewhat hidden gem – rich in scenery, history and culture.”
A recent announcement has seen Crystal Cruises add a further five destinations within the Mediterranean due to demand from holiday makers.
Crystal Cruises’ Maiden cruise ship has changed its itinerary to now include a shore stop at a Unesco World Heritage site in Kotor, Montenegro, and the beautiful Italian island of Lipari. Other destinations to be added to the ships’ itinerary are Sinop in Turkey, the stunning Patmos in Greece and the historical city of Trogir in Croatia.
With the new additions to their itinerary, Crystal Cruises now offer 12 individual Mediterranean cruises which visit over 50 ports. Their cruises range from durations of one to two weeks.
The cruise liner’s senior vice president, Bill Smith, recently commented:
‘These are the latest in a vast roster of Mediterranean ports that includes little-known gems and timeless favourites.’
Crystal Cruises Mediterranean holiday season runs from the end of May to the beginning of November. They provide a large number of discounts, treats and customer promotions which give excellent value to travellers.
