Luxury Safari Holiday on foot at Okavango Delta

The Okavango Delta in Botswana is the world’s largest inland delta. The unique safari on foot leaves you feeling at one with nature.

The fascinating and dazzling Okavango Delta
The water empties onto the sands of the Kalahari Desert. The Okavango Delta is a home to fascinating wild life and hundreds species of birds and attracts thousands of visitors every year. Camps within the delta region cater to these visitors. The water of the Delta surrounds Camp Okavango all year round. It is an ideal location from which to enjoy the African birds and game.

Boats take you to nearby islands where you go on guided walks to track and watch big game. It is exciting to watch the stately elephants, tall giraffe, menacing wild beast, charming warthogs and curious baboons. The elegant antelopes keep a safe and watchful distance.

An amazing maze of waterways
Boats take you through an amazing maze of waterways with water rushes swaying in the wind. A hippo might rock your boat. Startled birds fly screeching to the safety of tall trees. A tiny adult frog clings to a blade of water grass. A baby crocodile gazes at you from the bank.

The African fish eagle, the crested crane, and the sacred Ibis nest at the edge of the water. If you’re looking for a luxury holiday in September or October, you may also get to see mother birds busy looking after their naughty fledglings.
