Additional Flights to Hong Kong

Filed under: Hong Kong — Emma @ 12:23 pm

For those who love their holiday deals to Hong Kong, many will be pleased to hear that Virgin Atlantic is set to add an extra daily flight on its route from London Heathrow airport and Hong Kong.

Hong Kong is a vibrant, thriving city and is particularly popular with those searching for city breaks further afield as you can often pick up bargain holidays to the city.  From the 5th December this year, Virgin Atlantic will now run two daily flights from London to Hong Kong.  Indeed, the airline has said that Hong Kong is its third busiest route, beaten only by flights to New York’s JFK airport and Dubai.

Hong Kong is not only a popular route with business men, but also with city break lovers and also for those travelling to Australia.  Hong Kong is a popular stop off for those travelling to Sydney and many choose to lengthen their stay into two or three days.

The Chief Executive for Virgin Atlantic, Steve Ridgway, is quoted as saying:

“East is the new west and this second daily service will offer our passengers even more opportunities via Hong Kong, which is the third busiest long-haul route out of Heathrow after New York’s JFK and Dubai.  Virgin Atlantic, which is highly committed to the city and the Pearl River Delta, has flown well over 2m passengers on this route since we started flying in 1994 and it remains one of our most popular services.”
