Take a moment to stop at a junction and all you will see a sea of yellow cabs. A must experience is a ride in a cab. Take one to the world famous Macy’s or Bloomingdale’s on 5th Avenue.
New York Culture
Go down town, south of Canal Street, and you will find China town. This is one of the largest Chinese communities in the western world, and supposedly, one of the safest places in New York! The markets here sell fish and other produce at very reasonable prices. Celebrations are great to see around Independence Day and the Chinese New Year.
Holidays to New York – History
Will famously be remembered for the September 2001 attacks on the twin towers and words such a ground zero, twin towers and freedom tower. Catch the ferry from Whitehall Street for fantastic views of the lady Liberty and the New York skyline. Whilst visiting the Lady Liberty, stop off at Ellis Island to find the Ellis Island Immigration Museum, a place where approximately 12 million people entered New York to fulfill their dreams.
