Weather in Ibiza

Most people will take their holidays to Ibiza between the months of May and October as these are the warm months. In May, the temperatures reach the mid 20s and this provides the ideal beach weather. Between August and September, the temperatures really start to soar; often going above 30 degrees. Between November and April, when all the party animals have left the island, the temperatures stay at around 15 degrees but they can still actually climb to 25, even in these winter months.

Transport in Ibiza

Many people who go on Ibiza holidays will normally hire a car. And this is because this is the best way in which to fully explore the island. At just 45km long and 25km wide, it’s not difficult to see the entire island during your holidays to Ibiza. But another popular way of getting around and seeing some of the spectacular scenery on the island is by mountain biking. There are 20 cycle routes across the island and you can even take a guided mountain bike tour if you wish.

Things not to miss in Ibiza

1.With the beauty all around you in Ibiza, you have got watch the sunset at least once while you are on your holidays in Ibiza. And there’s no better place to do this than from the sunset strip which lies at the end of San Antonio Bay. Perhaps you can even sip on a few cocktails as you watch this spectacular sight.

 

2. Cova d’es Culleram is a large cave which was discovered in 1907. This was a temple to the goddess Tanoit and you can even see some of the treasures that were found in the caves at the Museu Atqueologic.

 

3. Young children love to visit Ponyland on Ibiza holidays. This is the home to a number of friendly ponies which can be ridden.

 

4.The hippy market is a popular attraction on the island. Every Wednesday, locals are transported back to the 60s as stalls crammed full of clothing, jewellery and interesting gifts take over the streets outside Es Canar.

 

5. To truly appreciate the beauty of the island, visitors should tackle the mountain range of Atalaia de San Jose. Here, you will come across the highest point in Ibiza from which you will be able to see the island in all its glory including the spectacular coastline.
