Amwaj Blue Beach Resort & Spa-Abu Soma The Amwaj Blue Beach Resort & Spa, formerly Governor Amwaj Abu Soma Resort and Spa, is set close to the calm and relaxing waters of the Red Sea in Soma Bay, a wonderful place to spend a relaxing holiday famed for its many water activities and sights. Set in the popular seaside resort of Abu Soma the resort is just moments away from the beach and not much further you can find many shops, restaurants and bars to explore, or you can try some of the exciting excursions available nearby.

An impressive and all-inclusive resort, the 5-star Governor Amwaj Abu Soma Resort and Spa creates a paradise like environment where you can truly relax and keep yourself entertained in numerous ways with a huge variety of facilities and activities on offer, most of which is included in the price of your room. Upon arriving you can start your experience in one of the 400 luxurious rooms and suites all designed to provide the utmost comfort and all equipped with a host of modern amenities. The resort boasts direct access to the beach with a private coral reef where you can experience some incredible snorkelling and diving, whereas for even more fun there is also an Aqua Park too where the whole family can enjoy the outdoor pools and slides. There are also some wonderful ways to relax and unwind during your stay with spacious sun terraces providing a quieter way to soak up the sun instead of the beach, or alternatively you can visit the luxurious SPA where you can indulge yourself in treatments including a sauna, jacuzzi, steam bath, massages and facial/beauty treatments. If that wasn't enough there is also a fully-equipped gymnasium for those looking to stay fit, along with plenty of activities to try within the resort too with tennis courts, volleyball, table tennis and inside there is a games room, darts and billiards, all providing many ways that will keep you entertained. Location
The Red Sea coast is one of the best places in the world for water activities, with some fantastic opportunities for diving to see the rich sea life. Many other water activities are available to ranging from windsurfing and surfing to sailing and rafting, the area provides many excellent opportunities for a thrilling holiday. About 65km away you can find the popular resort city of Hurghada where you can find fabulous opportunities for shopping and eating with many local shops and seafood restaurants along with larger commercial centre that make for some fantastic shopping experiences and days out that the whole family can enjoy.

Accomodation
The 400 luxurious and spacious rooms at The Amwaj Blue Beach Resort & Spa include a choice of standard, superior and executive rooms, along with the even larger family rooms and for the ultimate experience junior and royal suites.

All of the rooms benefit from individual air conditioning and feature en suite bathroom and a private balcony/terrace, with the standard and executive rooms suitable for 2 people, superior rooms can accommodate up to 3 (1 on sofa bed) and the family rooms up to 4 people (2 adults + 2 children).

Amenities featured in all the rooms include satellite TV radio safe deposit box telephone hairdryer. Executive rooms and junior suites also include a mini-bar and tea/coffee making facilities, and the impressive Royal Suites also includes a jacuzzi/shower.

Eating and Drinking
There is a choice of restaurants at the resort providing a wide selection of cuisine to suit almost any taste, which includes the main restaurant that is open all day and serves a wide variety of international and oriental dishes, along with a great choice of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

As an alternative to the main restaurant there is also an Italian Restaurant and for a memorable dining experience you can try the Beach Restaurant where you can enjoy some fine dining with a la minute and grilled cooking, all while admiring the views of the beach skyline.

In addition to the restaurants there are also a variety of bars to enjoy, which provide great places to sit down for a bit and enjoy a cool drink or a light meal during the day or evening. There is the Cafe & Bistro where along with drinks you can grab a late breakfast and afternoon cake, along with several pool bars including the Relax Pool Bar and the Splash Pool Bar. You can also visit the Beach Bar and for late night drinks in a more energetic environment there is the Disco Bar.

Swimming Pools
There are numerous outdoor pools and water activities to enjoy at this resort including the main outdoor pool, a relaxed heated pool, an Aqua Park with slides, a splash pool and a separate swimming area just for children. Additionally there are also great places to sunbathe and make of the most of the sun with spacious sun terraces by the pools with plenty of loungers/parasols provided for you to use, and also the nearby pool/snack bar is open most of the day serving all sorts of snacks and drinks to help keep you going under the sun.
